Fixture for the Main Casting

It made lots of sense to make a precision fixture to allow working on the casting while not having to re-tram the part when either removed from the mill or rotated from horizontal to vertical.

The plate is precisely square and the engine casting is precisely located on the plate.  There is a zero reference drilled into the edge of the plate in two places that allows me to reset the DRO.  The offset coordinates just need to be entered and the part is easily indexed.  I can flip from one orientation to another or re-install the assembly on the machine without issues of realignment.  The only thing that really can't be moved is the large iron angle plate.  This will stay located on the mill bed until i am done machining the main casting.
