Several accessories on the Enco prior to the conversion needed to be relocated and some accessories were added.

Knee Crank Drill Adapter

Knee Socket Holder    Fixturing for the part

A while back I got really tired of cranking the knee up and down and machined an adapter to go into my 1/2" DeWalt cordless drill.  Never could I have imagined how fun machining a 7 segment oddly shaped tool could be.  I learned a lot about rotary tables that day. It fits surprisingly well and I was proud enough of it to stamp it with my logo.  Needing a place to park the drill and adapter I welded a fitting to bolt to the front of the table.     I can only imagine how easy this would be if I had a CNC milling machine...

Vacuum and Air Hose Connections

Air and Vacuum Connections      Upper Control Panel

Next on the list was to remount my vacuum outlet.  My air hose outlet was also redone and installed in the area of the vacuum outlet.

The fitting is a piece of 1/4" wall seamless tubing with a mounting flange welded to it.  A vacuum hose connector was epoxied into the pipe.  This provides a sturdy connection and prevents the connector from breaking.  This was mounted to the back side of the motor bracket for the Y axis.  The control switch for the vacuum is on the upper control panel.  The vacuum sits on a shelf above and behind the mill and a 5 gallon metal pail with a cyclone lids to separate the large swarf sits on the floor behind and to the right of the mill's base.  Experience with this setup indicates the pail needs emptying every year or so and I have only emptied the vacuum itself once since it was installed 10 years ago.  All of this of course revolves around the amount of use on the machine.  With the conversion I am expecting to be making a lot more chips...

Vacuum hose upgrade.  I purchased some 1 inch ID PVC hose from McMaster-Carr and 3D printed some mini nozzles.  I like the small hose for policing small amounts of swarf.

The adapter drops the hose down to the 1 inch ID from the 2 1/2 in large shop vacuum hose.  The PVC hose has a thin wire stiffener in it and is very flexible.

Wireless MPG Controller Mounting

I decided a more convenient bracket for the MPG was needed during active use.  I bent up and spot welded a bracket.  The 60# cup magnet will keep it from going anywhere without permission.  You literally have to slide the mount off the edge of the table, you can't lift it off.
