Zone VI Cold Light
I elected to add a Cold Light to the Omega Enlarger and went with the Zone VI Studios model, coupling it with their Compensating Timer. The lamp is actually made by Arista and lamentably, is no longer made.

My spare lamp assembly on the left, the compensating timer on the right. When I re-opened the darkroom most of the equipment was no longer made, so I purchased a spare lamp assembly on eBay.

After the condensers have been removed the lamp assembly fits nicely in the upper housing. I crafted a base for the lamp housing that incorporates a filter drawer for large sheet filters. There is a narrow slot to insert the filter between the two sheets of thick black acrylic. I use Roscoe Cinegels in Magenta and green of various densities.

The original side cover of the lamp housing was replaced with a laser cut piece of acrylic, which I couldn't resist embellishing with some engraving. Cutting a notch on the original Bakelite cover would have destroyed it. Plus I can restore the enlarger to its original form, assuming I can find the box with the condensers that was put away in some "safe" place 20 years ago. The harness is routed behind the lift crank and also includes the wiring for the power focuser that I built. The focuser control is the box to the left of the timer.
