Film Drying Cabinet
When I originally built the darkroom I decided right away for the first time in my life I was going to have a safe, dust free place to dry my films.

The cabinet was made from 10" melamine shelf boards. Stick on foam weather strip seals the door. Metal rods at the top will allow up to nine 35mm rolls of film to be hung. Six 120/220 rolls or four to six 4x5 sheets can also be hung.

The air intake to the cabinet is at the bottom, through an automotive air filter from a Ford Crown Victoria. This was fastened on the outside of the rear of the cabinet, making use of the spongy soft gasket that is molded into the filter. The exhaust is handles by a 4 inch muffin fan that draws air from inside the cabinet. A digital wall switch timer gives an assortment of run times and automatically shuts off.
