I have owned a number of light meters over the decades, starting with a Gossen Luna Pro.

Sekonic L-488 DigiSpot

When I got back into photography around 1989 I purchased a Sekonic L-488 DigiSpot and used that for many years.  A manual for that can be found here.  In that same time period I had a Zone VI Modified Pentax Digital Spot meter, but truthfully preferred the Sekonic.  I had Dan Stone make a belt case to fit the meter and it is shown along side "old faithful".  I think the feature I like the most is the ability to switch from Spot to Wide by just sliding a lever.

Minotla Spotmeter F\

Lately I have been using a Minolta Spotmeter F and have grown to like it very much.  While it can be a bit complicated, I have gotten up to speed on taking  Highlight/Shadow readings and using the average when desired.  Instructions can be found here.

Minolta Flashmeter IV

Along the way I had a nice Minolta Flashmeter IV dropped in my lap and will be using it while doing flash photography.  It was too inexpensive to pass up.   I lucked out and found a pencil/pen case on Amazon that fits the meter with the 5°  spot attachment and a nice little pocket for the dome and stop attachments (sorry Dan...).  Instructions can be found here.
